NEW SPORTS GROUND
The New Sports ground (Plot 1,2 and 3) has been purchased and registered in the name of the S.D.S (School Development Society a Non Governmental Society made up of teachers and parents).
The purchase of land for the sports ground and subsequent expansion
The long-awaited sports ground for the National school Jaffna Holy Family Convent was initiated during the period of Rev Sr Thayanayagi Sebamalai as principal, in 2014. A plot of 6 larches was identified adjacent to the school and purchased at a cost of 12.3 million Sri Lankan rupees. (7.5 million SL rupees of this amount (and a further SL rupee 0.5million – towards building of the wall) was donated by Dr Sybilla Kumar a committee member of the JHFC PPA UK.)

The Second adjacent plot of 2 Larches and 12 Kulis was purchased in 2017 at a cost of SL Rupees 6.8 million in total (£37,372). JHFC PPA UK contributed £16,500 of this amount.
The Third adjacent plot of 1 Larches and 2 Kulis was purchased in 2018 at a cost of SL rupees 2.08Million in total (£11,500). JHFC PPA UK contributed £4,886 (0.9 million SL rupees). Included in this amount of £4886 is the amount of SL rupees 0.5 million was generated by the closure of the savings account “Mother Josephine Fund” created in 2002 by JHFC PPA UK in Hatton National Bank, Colombo.

The very first event in the sports grounds was the sports meet that took place in 2018
BIENVENU HOSTEL FOR GIRLS (JHFC UK PPA donated £6,000.00 towards the cost of the building)
A hostel for young women attending the University of Jaffna and other training facilities after school years was built in May 2015.
The new ‘Bienvenu’ building was officially blessed by the co-ordinator of the priest associates Rev.Fr. Jacob Nicholas and officially opened by former principal Rev. Sr. Yolande Mathias HFC
SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT IN PREPARATION FOR THE SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION.
(The school was refurbished as a routine general maintenance and JHFC UK PPA contributed Rs 7826,400.00)
In 2004, in partnership with Rev.Sr Yolande, JHFC PPA UK contributed towards a van for the school.
